For years I'd taken pictures, much like almost everyone else, of places I'd been and things that looked interesting. But about a decade ago I started to push a little harder, put a little more thought into what I was doing, concentrate on the art of photography, take lessons from professionals, and add elements that touch emotions and curiosity in others.
It's proved to be a never-ending trail of learning. I thought I'd share what I've learned along the way, and hopefully you'll find something that gives you pause for a moment.
Some of these photos have been exhibited, some have won awards. And some have been auctioned off for fundraisers and charities -- something I'm very much willing to do if you should have such a need.
I've published two books of photos and travelogues: Tuscany in September (http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/3973952-tuscany-in-september)
and Venice Reflections (http://www.blurb.com/books/2410046-venice-reflections)
